Gary Farrell Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard Russian River Valley 2021
“The 2021 Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard opens with gorgeous floral aromatics. Bright and punchy, with notable energy, the 2021 marries Russian River exuberance with a good bit of vibrancy.” – Antonio Galloni, 93 points
Don’t make me say it again…but HALLBERG vineyard has quickly become one of my new favorite plots in Russian River for balanced, yet bold, fruity & spiced Pinot Noir that flat out SLAYS! This 2021 vintage delivers like UberEats to a frat house – and when you can score Gary Farrell Pinot Noir – with 93 POINTS and a Last Bottle only price of way UNDER $30…welp, who’s ready for GLORY?!?!
Graton’s famous Hallberg Ranch is just oozing drinkability here…the Goldridge loam soils, and that coastal fog, and the constant, cooling breeze of the Pacific make this Pinot Noir Shangri-la – it’s almost unimaginable to contemplate that it spent most of the 20th century as an apple orchard! Today, 13 different clones of Pinot Noir reign supreme, and the wines from this site are revered for their intoxicating perfume, surreal complexity, and mouth-watering acidity. One delectable sip and…yep…that story checks out!
This is a certified stand-out that easily competes with a whole score of 2021 Sonoma GREATS – at an utterly ludicrous price! Only $26?!?! That’s like two hours of parking in San Francisco! The aromatics here are downright breathtaking – roses and lavender, with whiffs of jasmine and wisteria, then wild and herbal notes of white sage, and peppercorns, with fennel, and spearmint, all elegantly draped around a core of red plums, and tart cherries, with spiced cranberries, orange zest, and…AND! Plush, lush, and unmistakably Green Valley of the Russian River through and through. We got every last bottle we could…now it is your turn!
While it lasts!
