Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné Domaine de Thalabert Crozes-Hermitage 2020

Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné Domaine de Thalabert Crozes-Hermitage 2020

WOW!!! CdP's went FLYING out the gate this morning! We had 6 bottles lined up...and y'all hungry hungry Rhone Rangers gobbled up every...last...one! So let's head north, shall we? Bring on Jaboulet – one of the Northern Rhone’s BEST for two centuries!

We missed out on the 2019, but 2020, at long last, has ARRIVED!!! Domaine de Thalabert’s treasure OLD VINES at this planet-shaking price? Scores from the pros running 92-94 POINTS!?!? We still get that rush of warmth in the belly just thinking about it!! WOW! Big red Rhone drinkers, this is ALL about you! Last Bottler Fan Favorite vino for years and years! YES!!!

CHARISMATIC. TERRIFIC. EXPRESSIVE. JUICY AND ENERGETIC. GREAT FINISH.

Not our words (that’s the pro critics talking there), but let us say this: This is INTENSE! If you like watching Olympic Skeleton races or hopping into a rusted-up ZIPPER ride o’ death at your local county fair each summer...THIS is definitely your wine – bold, daring, and ultimately as rewarding and satisfying as other Rhones at TWICE the price!

The price!! Hair-raising. Mouth-dropping. Only $29?!?! For single-parcel, signature JABOULET prestige, power, and extreme elegance worthy of aging two decades?! Insanity. Now, Jaboulet, of course, is one of the greatest Northern Rhone producers, and we scored a SUPERB deal on the new-release, absolutely palate-rocking Thalabert Crozes-Hermitage. As with most of the top Jaboulet wines, you’re going to need to sit down when you take that first whiff (and keep sitting down because it swirls and whirls and changes DRAMATICALLY with air) – INHALE the freshly crushed, ripe, picked-at-peak-perfection blackberries and blueberries, the lush and plush, creamy baked tart notes, smoky bacon, crushed granite minerality, that sweet violet and lilac perfume, heady incense, and savory spice…just AHHH!

Read up on the storied history (the 1961 Hermitage La Chapelle is often argued as one of the greatest wines ever made, for example) HERE, if you like...but WHATEVER you do, get this into your cart as fast as possible. One of the great wines of the world at a simply outrageous price! While it lasts…!
