Even better PRICE! Same 96, 95, 94 point scores, this time from the historic San Giovanni Cru in the Monforte d’Alba — and this small production bottling is a LAST BOTTLE EXCLUSIVE!!!
Wooohoo!!! We’re busting out ALL the Barolo greatness today — and these 2021 Broccardo Single Crus are simply STAR-MAKING efforts across the board. I mean, 99 point, BEST-EVER vintage rating for Piemonte in Wine Spectator history, to boot? Who could say no? Can I pick a favorite? No way, no how!!! Was I planning to buy TWO CASES of Barolo whilst I’m newly landed in Ireland and staying at my favorite (but slightly pricey) 5-star castle? Definitely not. But sometimes you simply have to invoke Joel Goodson, take some Risky Business on, and just go for it!!!
Ok — the absolute LAST thing I would ever want is for you to miss out on such a stunning and worthy Barolo TWICE. So…we have the EXACT same amount of the Ravera Cru that already vanished. Which means, I strongly suggest a trip to your cart to load up before this baby vanishes as well!!! (We are the ONLY spot in the entire USA to have it, after all.)
Got some? Good on ya! This is bolder, and richer than the exotic and pretty Ravera — but the pristine pedigree of 2021 is every bit as prominent. Decanter calls it “drop-dead gorgeous” while the good folks at Wine Enthusiast call it “rich and persistent”...and, well…they are both dead on the nose! Roses and hibiscus, with a sanguine minerality, and hints of Damson plums, blood orange, and warm, terracotta clay. Things tighten up considerably on the silky smooth finish — hinting at a long and gorgeous life to come. I mean…96 POINTS, people! And ONLY $36?!?!
